On the 20th anniversary of the twin bombings on the US Embassies in Dar-es-Salaam and Nairobi, RECSA hosted a regional workshop on 8 August 2018 to sensitize government officials on the Arms Trade Treaty and the benefits of its implementation to national and global peace and security efforts. The workshop was attended by six RECSA member states, representatives of the ICRC and COMESA.
